One of those incidents played out in early December, toward the end of the 1952 wave. The incident involved an entire crew of a B-29 Bomber, who, both visually and on radar, noted six separate incidents as they flew back to base around 100 miles off the Louisiana coast. What’s more, the incident remains unexplained as far as the United States military is concerned, at least officially. Perhaps of further interest, other sightings of very similar craft involving United States military aircraft would continue into the opening weeks of 1953, with each of them having an extraterrestrial reconnaissance feel about them. Earthshine among Stars.

Lets see what Soumyadeep Mukherjee has to say: Last evening, it was a beautiful clear sky in Kolkata with a waxing crescent moon, a perfect combination to capture the earthshine part of the moon. The first image is the wide-field view of the moon with the neighbouring stars. Why do we see the stars trailing? Because the speed of movement of moon and the stars are not the same. The moon moves slower than the stars in the sky. If the moon is tracked, stars will trail. The second image is a close-up of the earthshine moon. Both the images are a stack of 45 images (out of 60) of 15 seconds. The third image is a wider view of the moon accompanied by the red planet, Mars, taken with a 35mm lens (cropped). It is a stack of 75% of 30 images.
